The protests that have greeted the 2018 Nigerian National Budget was the subject of my discussion on Quest TV and Radio, on Friday, the 22nd of December, at 1 p.m.

These politicians and elites want to kill us. The tragic thing is that they want to borrow most of the money for their kleptomaniac activities.

The figures and questions below that are begging for answers is a clear indication that the political elite are not serious about the development of our beloved country, Nigeria. They think that we are fools by their outrageous budgetary proposals. They want to steal money that even 7 generations cannot finish. The sad thing is that they go about it without shame and Fear of God and the people.

The irony is that according to Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe’s submission on the floor of the Senate, the 2017 budget is not up to 40% executed and we are budgeting more outrageous sums for items in the 2018 budget like kitchen equipment.

Babatunde Fashola failed to appear to defend their outrageous proposals. There were duplications like the purchase of Hilux trucks in more than one place—the same vehicles.

They want to buy new cars for the presidency.

When did they buy the last set?

Just like a caller to the show said, I weep for Nigeria.

Senator Dino Melaye’s contribution was very troubling. He was able to prove that there are unspent sums with the central bank for the budget such that we do not need to borrow to fund the budget. The body language of many of the senators was such that you would notice they don’t care if the wealth of the nation is looted or not.

There is the issue of 1 Billion USD meant to fight boko haram. This is the same boko haram that the government said they have defeated. Are they going to wage war against their spirits? Or are they like the Vietnamese we used to see in American movies that never get finished—they always kept coming, and the irony was that they all looked alike.

Shame on all those who connive to steal our national wealth.

1.14 Billion Naira for cleaning and fumigation of the office of national security adviser.

Why not build a new building?

Do they want to kill demons?

THEY BUY COMPUTERS AND KITCHEN EQUIPMENT EVERY YEAR FOR ASO ROCK AS IF THEY ARE DISPOSABLE.

19.3 Billion Naira for export expansion grant.

How much will we make from the export itself in ten years?

Computer software acquisition is budgeted at 338 million for only the Federal Ministry of Finance Headquarters?

What kind of software are they acquiring?

How much will it cost to start a software development company from scratch?

If you know how much is budgeted for honorarium in Aso Rock for the year, 2018, it will shock you.

In one of the items, money was budgeted for rent in our own presidential villa.

Who is our landlord? Probably Julius Berger that built the villa leased it to us.

IF WE CONTINUE LIKE THIS WE WILL HAVE NOTHING FOR OUR GRANDCHILDREN TO INHERIT IN THIS NATION.

  1. Nigeria is in a very bad shape as we speak. The political & elites class are really damaging the structure of this nation, they have severed the trust people had on them. Such a shame!! Thanks a lot sir for speaking up!!

    1. Thanks my brother. I benefited so much from this country. It grieves me so much to see my generation rape my country brazenly.
What will my granddaughter see when she grows up. Imagine the current suffering.
I have not had electricity at OTOVWODO junction since 2015.
      I’m very angry.
