I have a free-range turkey in my compound. We put some leaves here to help fertilise the soil, and the turkey laid some eggs there. We took the eggs away, but the turkey is still sitting there incubating emptiness.
There are no eggs beneath it. Even if the eggs were there, they would not hatch because they were not fertilised by a male turkey.
Yet the turkey is still sitting there faithfully, incubating nothing.
Many people are like this.
This is commitment without common sense, without wisdom, without insight, without knowledge.
Many people are committed to religious beliefs, committed to businesses, committed to tribal bigotry, committed to political parties that will not yield anything to humanity or even to themselves — simply because they lack insight. Commitment without common sense, without knowledge, without wisdom, without insight is insanity.
This my turkey dey craze.
