Lessons I Learnt From Dr. Ron Kenoly. Popularity and the Reality of the Faith

It is with a heavy heart that I received the news of the passing of Dr. Ron Kenoly “Righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”
Righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost — that’s the Kingdom of God Don’t you want to be a part of the Kingdom?

His breakthrough came in 1992, at the age of 48. It swept through the gospel music world like a hurricane One unique thing about his music was that he sang Scriptures He sang directly from the Word, and he had a very dignified appearance — like a pastor or a banker, with his suspenders and neat dressing Those songs helped us. They built us. We enjoyed them greatly He lived to the good old age of 81 years. He was married to his first wife, Tavita, for 42 years. It was alleged that there were many arguments and turbulence in the marriage. She left for a while and later returned, saying she had an encounter with God.
Eventually, Ron Kenoly remarried in 2014 to Diana, a Kenyan and a United Nations ambassador. They remained married until his departure.

In our Sunday School class on Sunday, 1st of February, we were analysing why children of pastors and committed Christians sometimes become deviant.

One conclusion we arrived at was that talented and anointed Christians are often major targets of the enemy What I read about Ron Kenoly’s marriage frightened me. It made me more careful and more determined to live a life that will not mess up my message.

People can love God deeply Serve Him diligently in the public space Yet somewhere in the private space, a small wall gecko may be waiting to poison the water

Wall geckos are dangerous. If a wall gecko crawls over your toothbrush and you use it without proper washing, it can yamotonize you.

Ron Kenoly sang well. He ministered well. He blessed lives. Yet his marriage had challenges, and he remarried. I pray that his family will have the fortitude to bear this loss I pray for those of us who are alive — ministers, servants of God, those with visible testimonies — that God will help us

That He will strengthen us Touch our spouses, our children, even our grandchildren That the good works God has used us to do will not develop k-leg

This is a very serious prayer. Pray for one another. Pray for yourselves, Ask God to let peace reign in your household Give you good health
Help you guide, control, and contain your children

I asked a simple question in the Bible study:

  • Was Samuel a bad man?
  • They said no.
  • Yet his children became wayward.

It grieves me deeply that a person can love the Lord and serve Him faithfully, yet someone somewhere tries to distort the testimony May that not be your portion in Jesus’ name Merciful God, grant our brother, our father, our uncle eternal rest And may we continue from where he stopped until the Lord calls us.

Amen
