One of the greatest tragedies of modern living is that many couples are too busy to enjoy their marriages.
We fill our weekends and holidays with parties, ceremonies, work and social engagements.
Yet these are the very periods when we should rest, reconnect and enjoy intimacy with our spouses.
💔 Are You Enjoying Your Marriage?
Whenever I attend a burial where someone has lost a husband or wife, I often ask myself:
How much time did this couple actually spend together?
Did they laugh, relax and enjoy each other’s company?
Or did they spend their years working, quarrelling and attending other people’s activities?
Sometimes, we shed crocodile tears after losing someone we barely made time for while they were alive.
Don’t wait until your spouse is gone before you realize the value of spending time together.
🏡 Declutter Your Life!
You don’t have to attend every party, ceremony or social gathering.
Sometimes, leave people outside your life!
Your marriage needs privacy, rest, companionship and intimacy.
Your children will eventually grow up and build their own lives. You must not neglect your relationship while raising them.
You are not married to your job. Neither is your job married to you! 😂
❤️ Make Time for Each Other
Protect some weekends and holidays for yourselves.
Rest together. Talk together. Laugh together. Enjoy your privacy.
You don’t need an expensive vacation to enjoy your marriage. Sometimes, what you need is simply uninterrupted time with the person you married.
Life is too short to spend all your time pleasing outsiders while neglecting the person closest to you.
Make time for your spouse today.
