I am your friend, Dr. Charles Apoki, and I’m here to remind you that life might not give you what you demand or expect. But if you place enough demand on yourself, you can get what you want out of life. It’s not about complaining—it’s about proclaiming and acting with what you have.
1. Stop Complaining, Start Proclaiming
The Bible teaches us to imitate God. When God faced a formless, dark, and empty Earth, He didn’t complain—He proclaimed, and the beautiful world we live in was created. Similarly, when Jesus was faced with feeding over 5,000 people with just five loaves and two fishes, He looked to heaven, gave thanks, and acted on what He had. Not only did He feed the multitude, but there was also more than enough left over.
Your circumstances might not be ideal, but you can create the best out of them by focusing on solutions, not complaints.
2. Harness What You Have
Your resources, skills, or circumstances may seem insufficient, but they are enough to start. I don’t own an iPhone or a laptop. I started creating videos with a basic phone and no editing software. Despite my limitations—imperfect English, average looks, and minimal resources—I’ve built a global influence and reached over 120,000 subscribers.
It’s not about having the best tools; it’s about using what you have with extraordinary faith, effort, and consistency.
3. The Journey is Unique, But the Goal is the Same
There are many paths to success. Some people fly first class, others hitchhike, but the goal is to reach the destination. What matters most is not how you start but where you end up.
I often reflect on inspiring stories like that of Dr. Cosmos Maduka of Coscharis Motors. He started as a houseboy but is now a billionaire. He didn’t study business administration, yet he lectures professors. The journey may vary, but the destination is what defines you.
4. Take Joy in the Process
The Bible says, “The joy of the Lord is my strength.” Strength leads to accomplishments. No matter how small your beginnings are, take joy in your work and make a mark. Leave a memory in the minds of people. It’s not the size of the task but the faith, might, and joy you put into it that matters.
5. The God Holding Your Hand
It’s not just what’s in your hand that matters—it’s the God holding your hand. With Him, nothing is impossible. Believe in Him, act with faith, and do little things with extraordinary commitment.
