Shattering the Chains of Poverty
Poverty is a complex and diverse issue that affects individuals, families, and communities worldwide.
It’s a cycle that’s hard to break, but it’s not impossible. To shatter the chains of poverty, one must first understand its root causes and obstacles that keep people trapped.
Education and skill building are essential for breaking the cycle of poverty. When individuals acquire new skills and knowledge, they become more employable and can access better paying jobs.
Entrepreneurship and job creation can also help individuals escape poverty, community support and networking are also essential for breaking the chains of poverty.
I recently saw a video of a Nigerian woman with a degree begging in Ottawa, Canada. A white man set out to humiliate her. It was a shameful and painful sight, a narrative we can change in our lifetime. China has done it in my lifetime; I vividly remember the time of Chairman Mao, and things have changed drastically.
“Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” That’s the aim of my mentorship group. If you joined my mentorship group thinking I am going to reaffirm some of the religious beliefs that have kept us poor and underdeveloped, then you are in the wrong place. Many practices among religious folks have been responsible for our backwardness. Everything you will learn here is backed by scripture and science.
If you have any questions, please send them to me privately for an explanation. One of the benefits of being here is that you can book appointments to speak with me.
As the family units grow, I plan to visit you physically to spend time teaching directly and instituting programs and projects. But let’s learn first.
Twenty-three years ago, the Lord spoke to me from 2 Timothy 2:2: “The aim of the cell groups is for the spread of the messages we are sharing.” First, share the posts with your friends, family, and netizens. If they show interest, you can add them to your group. They must indicate interest first.
Please let’s limit this group to mentorship, and all subgroups must stick to our standards. No financial transactions and no amorous relationships are allowed.
We must be responsible in this group. I have built a reputation over the years, and I don’t want to spoil it now.
Final thoughts: Breaking the chains of poverty requires a holistic approach. together, we can make a difference.
