Start Intentionally and Intelligently

So many people start the year with a New Year’s Resolution, which is an intentional way to start. An intelligent way to follow through is by setting achievable goals. You will see that at the end of the year, when you are ticking the boxes, you will find fulfillment in knowing how much progress you have made.

Every year, one of the things I do is revisit any ongoing projects. This year, I’m at the administrative block of Petra Institute. I laid the foundation for this building on my 62nd birthday, and by April, I’ll be 65. As we move into 2024, I’ve come here to continue work on this project, no matter how small the progress might be.

They gave me an estimate of over 21 million naira to deck this building. But I’m not going to wait until I gather all 21 million naira. I’m going to start now. My wife wisely says, “It’s only what is started that is finished.” The best way to start is to start.

Start Small and Grow Big:

You don’t need to have everything figured out or have all the resources at once. Start small and grow big. I’m going to start this project by clearing the area, molding blocks, and adding three layers of blocks to this level. We’ll accumulate rods gradually, and eventually, we will deck the building.

Take Action:

Whatever your project or dream is, go to it this year and start, no matter how small the beginning might be. The key is to start intentionally and intelligently. Don’t wait for the perfect moment or for everything to fall into place. Begin now, and let your consistent efforts build the future you envision.

As we embark on this new year, let’s make a commitment to take action on our dreams and projects. Start intentionally, start intelligently, and watch as your efforts grow into something significant, I am rooting for you.

God bless you.
