I Am Not Intelligent but There Is One Secret I Have | Listen

How to Keep Reinventing Yourself and Remaining Relevant I often tell people that I am not intelligent. I always wish I was intelligent enough to be an engineer, or an artist, or a guitarist. One grace I have is the ability to observe, listen, and copy from others without their knowing I did.

The first thing I do when I get anywhere is to see what I can admire and copy with my eyes. When I meet people, I always observe them very carefully and see what I can learn, not what I can get physically. I am a product of the best I have copied from several places, people, and positions I have been through.
Such an amalgam makes me amazing even to those I learned from.

Don’t always criticize or analyse issues. Calm down and internalize the good things you saw or heard. Personalize them, then actualize them.

Each idea has infinite potential and possibilities in it. I took the suckers that produced these bananas from my in-law. I planted them in my compound, and we have been enjoying them for years. I am not sure if my in-law still has them. Fire burnt the leaves last year, but they still produced fruits this year. That’s how some ideas are.

Learn to steal ideas with your eyes and ears. Listen even to a fool—learn not to be foolish like him. Arthur Schopenhauer postulated many years ago that it is futile to argue with an idiot. Donnie Krueger postulated that idiots tend to be the most vocal in any gathering .Those who don’t know argue a lot. Those who produce results don’t argue—their results speak for them. Keep learning. Keep evolving. Keep producing results. Practice divine allotropy.

God bless you.
