Hello, I’m Dr. Charles Apoki, and today I want to talk about financial intelligence—specifically, how to handle money wisely. Money, if left unchecked, behaves like an idiot. It will go anywhere and be wasted on anything if not handled by someone who knows what they’re doing. It’s important to learn how to manage your periods of prosperity and financial buoyancy.
When you’re financially prosperous, people will flock to you, eager to join in your feasts. But remember this: if you hit a rough patch, these same people won’t come knocking with an invitation for you. They’ll scatter. True friendship and loyalty aren’t always revealed in good times; rather, they become apparent when things go south.
One critical aspect of financial intelligence is being clear about your identity, origin, and destination. These questions—”Who am I?”, “Where am I from?”, and “Where am I going?”—help to anchor your actions, especially when it comes to spending and saving. If you live as though you’re in a period of harvest while you’re actually in a planting season, you’re setting yourself up for trouble. In other words, don’t spend as if you’ve already reaped when you’re still planting seeds. Wise financial management means having patience, practicing discipline, and being mindful of timing.
For those who are looking to gain deeper insight into managing finances, I invite you to our upcoming seminar on December 6th and 7th, Maximizing Your Life, Ministry, and Finances. It’s an opportunity to gain practical, life-changing knowledge that will guide you on the path to financial wisdom and stability. For more information, send a message to +234 80 2121 9262.
Let’s get financially wise, so we can turn money from an “idiot” into a tool that serves us well.
