Don’t Let Them Shave Your Head Without Your Permission

Today, I want to share an important lesson inspired by a statement from MKO Abiola that I hold dear: “No man can shave your head unless you submit it to him.” In other words, no one can intimidate you unless you allow them to.

I have three cars, and each one serves a different purpose:

  • One is fuel-efficient and affordable.
  • Another is prestigious but more expensive to maintain.
  • The third carries heavier loads and has its own usefulness.

These cars remind me that just as each car has its strengths, so do we. For instance, I have an orange here, and it has its own unique grace. The avocado pear, the mango, and the coconut all have their own unique anointing and purpose.

We often hear about “tapping into someone else’s grace,” but this idea can sometimes be misused to control and intimidate others. Every person has their own unique anointing, their own calling. We don’t have to be the same size, the same color, or do the same things. Just stay in your lane, run at your own pace, and keep to your path.

You cannot intimidate me with your successes because my success is different from yours. No matter how long it takes, “a star will eventually call his father’s name,” as we say. You will get there in your own time.

So, my message to you is this: let no one intimidate you or shave your head without your permission.

God bless you!
Dr. Charles Apoki
