A Pensioner Taaied and G@rgged by His Wife and Sons Because of Retirement Money

I am Dr. Charles Apoki. Terrible things are happening in this country and across the so-called Western world, including former British colonies, the United States, and the UK. A trending video recently caught my attention—an elderly pensioner tied and gagged by his wife and four graduate sons.

Betrayed by His Own Family

This pensioner had just received his retirement benefits and informed his family. He had previously opened two shops for his wife, and there was a mention of another sum of about three million naira. Whether he gave that money to his wife or not, I do not know. However, his four graduate sons and his wife began arguing over his pension—the money he worked for all his life.

The wife then went to the police station, falsely accusing the husband of trying to kill her. Instead of the police taking action, they told her to bring a mini-bus to transport officers to arrest him. Instead, she brought six men—not police officers—who tied him up, gagged him, and fastened his neck to something. He was left with only two options: either be eliminated or starve to death.

Rescued by Neighbours

The neighbours heard strange noises and, upon investigation, found the pensioner’s wife and sons packing up their belongings. They forced their way into the house and discovered the elderly man tied up. As they untied him, he cried out that they wanted to kill him. He recounted how they had once broken his leg. This is household wickedness in its purest form.

The Harsh Reality for Men After 60

I have always said that after the age of 60, you are on your own. You become a second option. In so-called developed societies like the UK and the US, the priority order is as follows:

  1. Children come first.

  2. Wives come next.

  3. Cats and dogs follow.

  4. Plants are next.

  5. Men come last.

A husband can be thrown out of the house without any need for permission, yet you need permission to cut down a tree. After spending your life providing for your family, you may find yourself as the minority in your own home.

Many men do not understand that the opposite of love is not hatred—it is wickedness. Once you are no longer financially useful, once you are no longer strong enough to discipline your children, you become disposable. The pensioner’s sons—four graduates—were waiting for their father’s retirement benefits instead of finding their own means of survival. While the economy is tough, there are still people who graduated alongside them who are working and earning an income.

Household Wickedness and Ingratitude

This is not an isolated case. A prominent man in Nigeria, a former minister of state, collapsed and died after one of his sons stole a large sum of money from him. The son reportedly said, “Why is he having a cardiac arrest over such a small sum? He is a rich man.” After the father’s death, the son began fighting over his inheritance, along with his siblings.

Men, take this as a warning: You are just an ATM to some people. Once they no longer need you, they will discard you.

Prioritize Yourself

Many men naively believe that their wives and children love them unconditionally. Shakespeare once said, There is no art to find the mind’s construction in the face. Likewise, Julius Caesar was betrayed by Brutus, someone he trusted completely.

Men, learn to be a little bit selfish. Take care of yourself. Prioritize your health, security, and future. I have made provisions for nearly every member of my household, including my grandchildren. But I have also ensured that I am not left vulnerable.

If that pensioner had established a sustainable business for his wife and involved his children, they would not have been so desperate for his pension. But this world is changing, and men must be careful. Household wickedness is real.

Beware of Financial Betrayal

In one tragic case, a son orchestrated a robbery against his own father to steal money. During the robbery, the father was killed. The son later confessed, saying, “We agreed that you should not kill him.” Thankfully, the boy’s uncles were smart enough to prevent him from inheriting the stolen wealth.

Men, be vigilant. Do not share every financial breakthrough with your family. It is not every money you receive that should be disclosed to your wife, children, or household members. The world is becoming more dangerous.

Final Words

The Bible warns us that in the last days, men will be treacherous, wicked, and desperate. If you are a man above 60, take your health, safety, and financial security very seriously.

God bless.
