I am your friend, Dr. Charles Apoki, and I am so glad to share the news that Dele Farotimi is finally out of incarceration. Even though he seems to have lost a lot of weight, the fire in his bones still burns strong and bright. This is a moment of joy and reflection for all of us who believe in justice, freedom, and the collective strength of our nation.
First, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency, Peter Obi, and everyone who contributed in one way or another towards Dele Farotimi’s release. This collective effort—the voices that spoke out loud and clear, the financial contributions made—demonstrates what we can achieve when we come together for a common cause. The fight Dele Farotimi fought was not just for himself but for all of us. It is a lesson and a call to action: let us learn to embody the spirit of “one for all, and all for one.”
