Greetings, I want to address a critical issue: many Christians rely solely on grace, expecting it to lead to success without any accompanying strategy or effort. This mindset is dangerously flawed.
There’s a growing trend among ministers and Christians where people are encouraged to tap into grace through monetary seeds, thinking that success will come just by grace alone. But grace, without wisdom, effort, and strategy, is bound to lead to disappointment. Salvation comes through grace, but living a productive life here on Earth requires much more.
I often hear Christians say, “By the grace of God,” when given a responsibility. This is when I know they’ve mentally checked out and put their minds on “flight mode.” Grace is not an excuse for inaction; it is an empowerment for functionality and productivity.
Here are some truths:
- Grace without strategy will lead to tragedy.
- Grace without work will make you worthless.
- Grace without effort will leave you with a faulty life.
- Grace without caution will make you a casualty.
Grace is meant to empower you to function effectively, not to make you passive. It is the fuel for action, not an excuse for laziness.
Let me share my productivity formula:
P=G X E X S4 RA divided by C
Where:
- P = Productivity
- G = Grace
- E = Effort
- S = Seriousness, Strategy, Structures, Sustainability
- C = Constraints
If your effort is zero, even with maximum grace, you will still achieve zero productivity. Isaac in the Bible sowed in the land and reaped a hundredfold. The results were directly proportional to his effort—the more he sowed, the more he reaped.
In my formula, S represents the following:
- Seriousness in your approach to life.
- Strategy to execute your plans.
- Structures to sustain your efforts.
- Sustainability to ensure long-term success.
The first thing God gave man was responsibility. We, especially Africans, must embrace responsibility if we want to see results. Don’t be a lazy Christian looking for excuses to remain in failure. Grace is given in proportion to our ability to function. To experience the rewards of grace, you must combine it with effort, strategy, and planning.
