A Conversation with My Granddaughter
This is my granddaughter. What’s your name?
Petra: Petra.
Dr. Apoki: Good morning, Petra. Are you getting ready for school?
Petra: Yes.
Dr. Apoki: Are you also getting ready to open your mouth and speak?
Petra: [Giggles]
Dr. Apoki: Yesterday evening, while you were eating and watching television, you asked me a question. What was that question?
Petra: I asked, “Why don’t the police follow Dr. Charles Apoki, who is known around the world, like they follow other people?”
Dr. Apoki: Okay, let me ask you something. Did you see someone fall yesterday?
Petra: Yes, the president.
Dr. Apoki: Were there policemen around him?
Petra: Yes, there were.
Dr. Apoki: And he still fell, right?
Petra: Yes.
Dr. Apoki: The truth is, the protection and safety of any person are in the hands of God. Even if there are many policemen around you, if something is destined to happen, it can still happen. You can still fall, collapse, or even die. I trust in the Lord; I trust in our Lord Jesus Christ for my safety and security. However, in some places, if they feel I need security, they do provide it for me. But ultimately, safety and security are in God’s hands. Do you understand?
Petra: Yes, I do.
Dr. Apoki: Alright, God bless you, Petra. I am your friend.
