The Eagle has landed in Abuja.

    Nobody is born wise.

You must know how your society functions. Try as much as possible to plan ahead with the predictable unpredictability of your society.

Wisdom is acquired, and in some circumstances, it is gifted by Jehovah, through the Holy Spirit. The lessons you learn from disappointments, failures, and challenges are the blessings therein.

I have always preferred early morning flights in Nigeria. It gives me space to maneuver in case there is flight delay or cancellation. Nigerian airlines can arbitrarily alter flight schedules without proper notification. I always give enough time gaps between my flights, road trips and my preaching engagements.

You never can tell what will cause unnecessary delays or disappointments, that’s I try to leave very early for most of my appointments.

My flight to Abuja was scheduled to depart at 2:30 p.m. yesterday from Asaba. Hopefully, I was to arrive Abuja at 3:40 p.m., then go to preach at 5:30 or 6 p.m.

I decided to leave for the airport by 9 a.m., only to be told that my flight had been shifted to 4:30 p.m., with no prior information, no apologies. Just like that. One of the workers of the airline told me he was not sure if the flight would eventually come.

From my previous experiences, I had made arrangements in advance to buy another ticket in case of an emergency. I had to buy another ticket in an airline that was making her maiden flight to Asaba.

The unpredictable way things are done in Nigeria will make it very difficult for our airlines to be profitable.

The ticketing clerk said the flight in this other airline was fully booked, but we were only 8 passengers eventually in the more-than-100-passenger airplane. I had to send an airport worker to buy the ticket because I did not want her to see my face again. Did she want me to panic and offer her a bribe or what?

I bought that ticket after one hour of being told that the flight was fully-booked and we were only 8 passengers. What happened?

At least I have taken lunch at Abuja and rested before I will go to preach.

I did not need to speak in tongues and bind demons of flight cancellation from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The next thing was to rush directly to the venue of the meeting while binding the spirit of traffic. No way! I have learnt from my past disappointments. My blood pressure would definitely have risen. I’m too old for that kind of stress now.

As much as possible, always have an exit plan.

Sometimes, proper planning and preparation can reduce prolonged prayers.

    God bless you.
