The pictures below are of my goats.

Definition: Potential is having or showing the capacity to develop into something in the future.

Potentials involve latent qualities or abilities that may be developed and lead to future success or usefulness. Underdeveloped societies usually reason in absolutes.

It is said that Michelangelo saw an angel in a piece of marble. He built a tent over it and carved a beautiful angel out of it. Michelangelo saw the potential in the discarded material. The owner of the quarry saw in absolutes.

Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it. Michelangelo

I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free. Michelangelo

Everything is in a fluid―dynamic and transitory.

Those who have insight into seeing potentials in people, relationships, issues, money, knowledge, and opportunities are those who develop themselves, businesses, ideas, and inventions. Those who reason in absolutes, reason only in the immediate or short term. If you must develop, look into the future. You must have an understanding of the future possibilities.

Potentials must be developed for the latent or trapped possibilities to be released.

In underdeveloped societies, people “eat” raw materials; developed societies eat processed products. Even their waste products are seen as potentials to be harnessed.

This goat was bought for me by my last child, Ese Apoki. I had to choose between this goat and a non-pregnant one. I chose the pregnant one and paid a little bit more. It had a miscarriage, probably because of stress. However, Ovigue Ugbarugba took it to his farm, and now it is pregnant again. You can see the potentials bulging from its sides.

Okeya Ighofotu informed me of a female goat and the kid (a female), owned by my Local Government Chairman. On getting there, he offered to give me the kid as a gift. He informed me that the mother was due to be crucified on Sunday for goat pepper soup. I asked Barrister Okeya to quickly move a motion for a stay of execution. It was granted. I had to buy male goat to replace it.

It is said that a goat once said that, “If not that goats are killed on a daily basis, the whole world be filled with goats”. I’m expecting another set of goats from the north. If I can get 200 she-goats and 50 he-goats, imagine how many goats I will have in five years.

I should also have about 30 turkeys in a month’s time. If I can have three hundred turkeys in a farm, imagine how much I will be making.

I want to tap into the wealth in agriculture and animal husbandry.

Remember, my wife also kept broilers in Lessons From My Wife’s Poultry.

    God Bless You.
