SOS4 Visit To Otovwodo Grammar School

It was a very busy last week for me.

I was in Port Harcourt with Rev. Samson Bodjor to deliver a lecture on Harnessing the Power of Womanhood for Community and National Development. I had to give another lecture on Entrepreneurship and Skill acquisition: A Global Trend at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, on Wednesday, the 13th of March.

With the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun and Marcus Ekure.

In the early hours of Wednesday, at about 7:15 a.m., I was at Otovwodo Grammar School, Ughelli with Pastor Raymond Orogun Nduka Ugbeh and  Counsellor Denis Agori to give a talk on Dangers of Cultism. We also prayed for them, and many of them got born-again.

I’ve come to realise that strange things are happening in our educational sector in continuation of our SOS4 campaign.

One student was brought to me that he needed help. He was approaching 11 years of age. One day some young men blew some substance on his face and he subsequently found himself amongst people who compelled him to do strange things with women. I will get to know the details, because I have asked the form mistress to call his father so that we can pray for him and for our resident psychologist to counsel him.

Our children our now endangered species and we must be there for them; we must stop and stoop to listen to them.

There is too much evil going on in our society. Let’s be alert and not relent in what we are doing.
